Under the support from Trade Mission of Taiwan in Bahrain, III and InfoTech held the “2009 Bahrain e-Government Sharing Workshop” in Bahrain Central Informatics Organization on 2009/1/11~1/19. Attendants are many different government agencies in Bahrain. InfoExplorer speakers, Yeun-Chung Tan and Jerry Wang, introduce all kinds of applications promoted in Taiwan. The whole workshop topics cover e-Government Programs, Innovation Services, e-Payment, Smart Cards for Government, M-Police, e-Learning, Modern Citizen Service, e-Document Exchange. This activity received lots of feedback from attendants of the workshop. Not only the current development status of Bahrain government is discussed, the speakers were also invited by the Secretary General of Tender Board to exchange information regarding to the e-Government development in Taiwan. After the workshop, Bahrain government is planning to arrange a visit to Taiwan to get further understanding of Taiwan’s experiences. This Workshop does not only help Taiwan to get better reputation in e-Government development, but also bring up future cooperation opportunities for Taiwan’s IT industry.
