Defense Industry Reserve Duty Information System (DIRDIS)

DIRDIS provides systematic human resources management, which benefits private and public sectors as well as thousands of reserve duty officers. DIRDIS provides one-stop compliant management and easy access to information services. Provided by DIRDIS is an unimpeded two-way communication channel, which provides information openly and is accessible by the public, allowing thousands of people the opportunity to serve in their specializations each year. The Ministry of National Defense intends to implement a system which allows people the ability to contribute their skill sets more effectively.

History
The DIRDIS has operated since 1980, and has been open to private corporations for participation since 1999. In 2000, the “Reserve Talents Selecting, Matching System” was built to meet increasing requirements and improve information technology. Later, in 2003, the demand for the integration of the management and operation systems resulted in the rebuilding and enlargement of the DIRDIS. The Ministry of National Defense proposed to update the DIRDIS project in 2004 in response to increased importance in operation mechanisms.
